A 2-day trip around Göteborg

Initially, the plan was to go to Stockholm for this weekend, however we managed to discover that there's a ticket to Stockholm for November that is going at 6 times lower the price. So, we decided to have a change of plans, and we took a 3-hour train ride to the western coast of Sweden, to the city of Göteborg.

Göteborg is one of the larger cities in Sweden and it really is much much more livelier than Lund is. Should have gone to Göteborg University for exchange man. Haha, but I dun think it has the courses for me though -__-"

So we were there got 2 days and it was really filled with fun... and of course, excitement esp on the first day when we went to Liseberg - the largest amusement park in the whole of Scandinavia. The roller-coasters were quite shiok, much better than those in Ocean Park in Hong Kong haha. But as usual, I don't dare to sit the rides that swings. Cannot take those things. And there were bumper cars too!! It's been a super long time since I even get to see the bumper cars, not to mention riding it.

But before we went to Liseberg, we had to look for accommodation to leave our baggages. And we decided on Spar Hotel after we purchased the Göteborg Pass which allows us to travel on any transport for the 2 days and allows us to stay in the hotel as well.

we visited the Science Centre called Universeum. Quite a large place with lots of things to see, and we even got to enter Singapore!! What I mean by that is that they have a "Rainforest Zone" and it really feels like we are back in Singapore, cos it's so warm in there.

There was also a Ghost House that we went into, and it's so much like our Fright Night for orientation camps haha. So I kinda expected where the ghosts would come out from. But the coolest part of the whole Ghost House is that there is this room that rotates and make u feel like u're falling into the hot incinerator. I think it's all an illusion but it felt vv real. Good job man.

So it was the end of Day 1 in Göteborg, was so tired that i conked out the moment i lie on the bed.

Day 2 was the city sight-seeing tours for us. We went to various places such as the Fortress by a guided boat tour ride, followed by a guided bus tour around the city as well. Shopping was also done on this day at one of the larger shopping centres there but still, things were very expensive there. Only managed to get 2 long sleeve tees at a cheap price haha. While shopping, I was thinking, "D&D must be on-going right now, it should be quite fun over there at D&D right now". Haiz, and yeah, everyone was in their movie costumes attire! So nice. And Emily looked funny in the jap soldier costume HAHA.

Anyway here are the pictures taken on the second day...

So that's the end of the tour in Göteborg, and finally the end of this entry... School's starting soon this Tuesday. Hope I still get time to tour around like this. Looking at my course schedule, I feel like fainting haha.
