Mini discoveries along the way....

I realised that in Sweden elevators, the button that represents the ground floor is not labeled "1", rather it is labeled "E", which I can't remember the meaning for it. A german student explained to me before, but somehow it doesn't stay in my head. Initially I thought "E" was for Emergency, so I didn't dare press it. But I couldn't see the button that says "1" haha... so gong.

Anyway, I've finally met my subject coordinator to register my subject but there's still much to be done. When lessons start in September, I gotta get some documents signed by the Professor in-charge of the module, and return the documents to my subject coordinator. Like, why can't they do this internally?? Faints... But nvm, since she praised me saying that I'm a very organised person. Most probably she likes my handwriting ^_^ HAHA.

And I went down to my faculty building to get my access pass to some computer rooms. The building is friggin' far!! Oh man, I've got to travel such a long distance everyday. Sighz.. i wanna get a bicycle lah, but first I need a cheaper accommodation. But a bicycle is a really good investment. Don't think I wanna walk everyday when winter arrives.

*Me outside the faculty building*

*My enrolment documents and access pass*

There is a bookshop along the street with this type of entrance which I've always seen in TV shows only, haven't really gone through it myself before. So I went to try it out hahaha...

*so people just stand in there and turn the door lor*

Anyway, why do they have rough roads here everywhere. It's so difficult to walk on, and my legs hurt from walking on this kind of surface everyday. Crazy... And I need to buy jogging shoes, I didn't bring mine and I want to jog =( Maybe someone can DHL it to me?? HAHA, kidding.

*pedestrians-unfriendly roads everywhere*

Realised I've never taken a picture of my hostel exterior before, so here it is.

*beautiful huh*

And the laundry room in my hostel works in an interesting way. First you need to go to a machine outside the room to book a timeslot which you wish to use the laundry room, and then you got to scan a little sensor that comes along with the key at the machine to register the booking. Interesting huh.

*the booking system*

*the blue thingy is what you use to scan in and confirm booking*

This is the view of the streets in Lund at night... It's pretty scary to walk around alone at night. Firstly the wind was so strong and cold, and it's freaking scary that my goosebumps all came out.

Ok... so as requested, the view outside from my window....

Here are some pictures of the neighbourhood park near where I stay. There's a tree with colourful trunks. Poor tree... imagine yourself covered in paint... Disgusting huh?

*beautiful park*

*see the colourful trunks?*

*these flowers brighten up my day when i walk past them everyday*

*weird carvings on the wall*

*another fountain*

*tried to include myself to show you all the tree but failed...*

*... so here's the tree, all its leaves are hanging downwards - obey gravity*

*the entrance to park*

I had a craving for ice cream today, even though it was so friggin' cold out there.... but I couldn't care less... I was sure the ice cream would perk me up from my boredom.

People in Lund loves to keep dogs... of all sizes really.... they have really puny ones and they also have really humongous ones. The big ones look really scary. Gosh. How can they afford to maintain such huge animals. I didn't manage to take a picture of the really huge dogs.

Oh and I finally found McDonald's!!!!

My name is finally on my mailbox!! Cool huh...

I feel vv 感动 cos I finally found a supermart near where I stay, and they have got rice!!! I finally got to cook rice, potato soup and hot dogs for dinner today! Yummy.... got the taste of mummy's cooking cos the soup is cooked the way my mum does it... Just that the potatoes taste weird. But whatever, it's much better than eating the frozen pizza hahaha.

*cooking...*

*still cooking...*

*finally, ready to eat!!*

Hmm what should I eat for tomorrow's meals.... Sian lea, now I know how my mum feels everyday when she has to think of what to prepare for the 3 meals at home. Sigh... 真麻烦...

It's getting colder.....
