Yesterday was a pretty hectic day for me. I was like wondering why I have to be rushing here and there when the pace of life here is moving so slowly? Is it in the nature of all Singaporeans to be rushing everywhere their entire life? Everyone else is like moving so slowly >.< In the morning I had to leave my dorm early because I got to freaking walk for almost an hour, ok maybe just 45 mins, to look for some lecture theatre right on the other side of the city (because I don't know which bus service goes there) just to find myself reaching there an hour earlier than expected. Like duhz.... and so I just sat outside, waited and waited (yeah what's new? we spend 3/4 of our lives waiting anyway) and finally the talk started. The University staff introduced to us the various services they provided (but it was kinda boring), even the Police came too! They were there to teach us their traffic rules just in case we cycle around the city. They were quite hilarious, their segment was the only that I am fully awake for.
Had to rush to settle some housing issues in the afternoon, which made me super late for the language class. And I don't understand the language lesson! It's so much more difficult compared to when I was studying Spanish back at NTU.
Afterwhich, I ended up doing the Swedish homework together with a fellow Singaporean who is in the same class as me (and who was also as late as me) and we proceeded to Sparta (another housing region) for dinner as someone was cooking spaghetti. There was a huge party in the pantry with alot of international students there. Vodka + lemon + kiwi taste good. HAHA. Anyway the 5 Singaporeans who came over together and whom I hung out with yesterday are all from SMU. Weird that I keep thinking that they are from NUS Business. But nvm...
Ahh I don't have the photos of my new made friends yet -__-"
After dinner, we headed down to Malmo, by train. Malmo is another city? county? town? What do we call it? Haha. Yeah it's further down South. There was a huge party going on there too on the streets because it was the Malmo Festival period. It was freaking squeezy, worse than a crowded pasar malam (night market) in Singapore. But it was not too bad an event, with a concert from a band going on there. And on the way back to Lund, the train operator thought we are below 19 years of age and we got cheaper train tickets! It's a hell lot cheaper. 15 Kr compared to 35 Kr.
Alright, it's gonna be another rushing day for me. So much unsettled administrative matters!!! RRAARRGHHH...
